Titan FC 44 to Feature 2 Championship Affairs with Champion vs. Champion
Looking to become a two division champion Flyweight champion Jose “Shorty” Torres will be moving up to challenge Farkhad Sharipov for the Titan FC Bantamweight title at Titan FC 44.
In 4 fights Jose Torres has turn heads and demanded attention with his work in the cage. Three of his 4 wins have come by stoppage. Torres won the Titan FC title on the scale, but quickly quieted all doubters by destroying UFC and 20 fight vet Pedro Nobre in under 90 seconds, showcasing blazing fast hand speed. Sharipov has won 3 of his last 4 fights and is 2-0 in Titan FC. Both Sharipov’s fights in Titan have went the distance, debuting with a split decision win over Bruce Lutchmediall, and winning the title, with a unanimous decision win over Andrew Whitney.
The card will also see Gesias Cavalcante & Kurt Holobaugh squaring off with the vacant Titan FC Lightweight title on the line. Cavalcante a rough and tumble vet, has won 3 of his last 4 fights, and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Robert Turnquest. Holobaugh 7 of his last 9 fights, including consecutive wins over Luciano dos Santos (tko) and Yosdenis Cedeno (sub). These two combine have 37 wins and 27 finishes.
