Fight for the Troops 3 adds Edwards vs. Medeiros
The newest bout added to UFC Fight for the Troops 3 (UFC Fight Night 31) is a Lightweight contest that will see Yves Edwards (42-20-1) against Yancy Medeiros (9-1).
Edwards so far in 2013 has competed twice having suffered consecutive split decision losses to Issac Vallie-Flagg and Daron Cruickshank. Prior to the losses Edwards scored a 1st round KO over Jeremy Stephens at UFC on Fox 5.
After almost 3 years away from the cage Yancy Medeiros returned to MMA and entered the UFC. His promotional debut was cut short as a Thumb injury would stop the fight; and force referee Dan Miragliotta to award a TKO win to Rustam Khabilov.
UFC Fight for the Troops 3 (UFC Fight Night 31) takes place on November 6, at Fort Campbell in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The main event will see the Middleweight debut of Lyoto Machida against Armed Forces vet Tim Kennedy.
