Rapid Results for Bellator 236
The second day of the Bellator MMA back to back at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, is Bellator 236. In the main event England’s Kate Jackson challenges Ilima-Lei “The Ilimanator” Macfarlane for the Bellator women’s flyweight title.
Jackson was a member of season 23 of The Ultimate Fighter. Defeating Irene Cabello and Ashley Yoder before losing to eventual winner Titiana Suarez in the semifinals. Jackson won three of four inside the Bellator cage. In June Jackson scored a first round tko win over Lena Ovchunnikova. Macfarlane the only flyweight champion Bellator has ever had, has defended her belt three times. In April “The Ilimanator” stopped Veta Arteaga by tko from cuts in the third round. Macfarlane has eight finishes, six by submission.
The co-main event is a featherweight grand prix quarterfinal between unbeaten AJ “The Mercenary” McKee & “The Stallion” Derek Campos. Mckee made a statement in his opening round bout knocking out former WSOF champion Georgi Karakhanyan in eight seconds. Campos advanced past the opening round via unanimous decision over former champion Daniel Straus.
