UFC 170 adds Makovsky vs. Sampo
The newest bout added to UFC 170 is in the Flyweight division and pits former RFA Flyweight and Bellator Bantamweight champion Zach “Fun Size” Makovsky (17-4) vs. former RFA Flywieght champion Joshua Sampo (11-2).
Makovsky has won 3 fights in a row including defeating Matt Manzanare to become the RFA Flyweight title holder and then 22 days later as a late replacement for an injured John Dodson defeated Scott Jorgensen by unanimous decision.
Sampo has won his last 5 fights in a row including submitting Carson Gainey, Alexis Villa, and Ryan Benoit; in his promotional debut at the TUF 18 Finale.
UFC 170 takes place on February 22 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas Nevada; headlined by Sara McMann challenging Ronda Rousey for the Women’s UFC Bantamweight title.
