Johnson vs. Kyle to Main Event WSOF 5
World Series of Fighting has announced that their 5th event taking place on September 14 at the Revel in Atlantic City, New Jersey will he headlined by a Light Heavyweight collision of Blackzilian member Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (15-4) facing American Kickboxing Academies Mike “MAK” Kyle (20-9-1, 2 nc).
Since missing weight, being submitted and therefore being cut from the UFC Anthony Johnson has won 5 fights in a row over David Branch (UD), Esteves Jones (TKO), Jake Rosholt (TKO), DJ Linderman (KO), and Andrei Arloski (UD); in a Heavyweight bout that headlined WSOF 2.
Mike Kyle is veteran of the UFC, WEC, Strikeforce, and King of the Cage. “MAK” is coming off of a knock out win over Travis Wiuff in the main event of CFA 11. The KO was the 13th KO/TKO win of his career. The win was also a nice bounce back from a 1st round submission loss to Gegard Mousasi at the final Strikeforce event “Marquardt vs. Saffiedine”.
