RFA 9 Main Card Announced, Munhoz vs. Koch in Main Event

Someone’s O has got to go in the main event of RFA 9 when Pedro “The Young Punisher” Munhoz (8-0) battles Keoni “Evil Genius”Koch (5-0) for the RFA Bantamweight championship on August 16 at the Stubhub Center in Los Angeles, California.

Pedro Munhoz trains at both Kings MMA and at the Black House. “The Young Punisher” has won 4 consecutive bouts by submission, including most recently at RFA 8 defeating Mitch Jackson by guillotine choke. Keoni Koch has 4 of his 5 wins by submission and is coming off of going all 3 rounds for the first time, earning the decision win over Antol Grama.

In the co-main event TUF 17 alum Kevin “King” Casey (5-3) faces Alliance MMA’s Casey Ryan (5-0). Casey is coming off a TKO loss to Josh Samman at the TUF 17 Finale that ended a 2 fight wining streak. Ryan started off his career with 4 straight submission wins. Most recently Ryan defeated Matt Lagler scoring his 1st pro win by TKO.

Rounding out the main card will be in the Heavyweight division former Olympic Wrestler and member of American Top Team’s Steve Mocco (2-0) squaring off with James “The Beast” Wilson (2-0) of The Hive. A Featherweight bout has been put together with Jordan “All Day” Rinaldi (6-1) of Team Roc meeting Brian Ortega (6-0) fighting out of the Black House. Welterweights collide as Chris “The Kiss” Spang (5-2) of One Kick’s Gym faces Alan Jouban (6-1) of Legends MMA. Kicking off the main card will be a Flyweight contest with Steve Swanson (10-1) of Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s MMA against Matt Manzanares (4-1) of Black Dragon Martial Arts.
