Tweet out, Brents in vs. Gomes at Invicta FC 6
The Invicta FC debut of Charmaine Tweet (4-3) will not happen at Invicta FC 6, due to visa issues. Now with her second change of opponent Ediane Gomes (10-2) is now scheduled to face Tamikka Brents (2-0).
Tweet is on a 3 fight winning streak and most recently submitted Amanda Bell.
Ediane Gomes a member of American Top Team was originally expected to take on Julia Budd, who was forced off the card with a neck injury. Budd and Gomes had also been scheduled to collide at Invicta FC 5, but Gomes was pulled from the bout to move up the card to clash with Cristine “Cyborg” Justine, but Gomes would pull out of the fight due to injury. Gomes is currently riding a 4 fight winning streak.
Brent is coming off an Invicta FC 4 win by unanimous decision over Amanda Bell, which followed up a pro debut TKO win. Brents as an amateur went 8-0-2.
Invicta FC 6 takes place on July 13, at the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansa City, Missouri; and is headline by Marloes Coenen vs. Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino for the inaugural IFC Featherweight title.
