Championship Bonanza at MFC 38
It had already been announced that at MFC 38 there would be two titles on the line, Heavyweight and Bantamweight. Out doing themselves MFC has announced that the Vacant Middleweight title will also be on the line. A total of 3 title fights in one event for the first time in the MFC’s 13 year history.
As already announced Anthony Birchak (9-1) battles Tito Jones (10-6) for the inaugural MFC Bantamweight title.
We knew that Selino Rama (6-0) would be in the Heavyweight title bout and now he knows that standing across from him with golden dreams of his own will be Anthony Hamiltion (9-2). Rama who is coming off defeating Mike Hackert by KO, had never seen the 2nd round; with 3 submission and 3 KO/TKO’s making his 6-0 record. Hamilton has won 3 fights in a row over Mike Riddell (KO), Bill Widler (TKO), and Will Courchaine (SUB).
Leaving MFC 38 with the vacant Middleweight title will either be “Smilin” Sam Alvey (20-5) or Jason “TheMover” South (10-0). Alvey is coming off a TKO win over Jay Silva; bouncing back from a unanimous decision loss to Elvis Mutapcic in promotional debut title shot. Alvey is 9-3 in his last 12 fights and has 12 wins by KO/TKO. South was last in action submitting Phil Dace. The win was South’s 9 in a row by submission. South has all 10 win by stoppage, with 5 in round 1 and 4 in round 2; only seeing the 3rd round in his Pro debut.
