Gumimares & Bedford Injured out of UFC Fight Night 28
UFC Fight Night 28 takes place on September 4th at Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horizonte; has been hit with a double whammy of injury news with Johnny “Brutal” Bedford and Marcelo Gumimares both having to withdraw from their scheduled bouts.
Guimaraes, who suffered an elbow injury will be replace by Ivan Jorge (24-3) who is stepping up a weight class to take this short notice fight against Keith Wisniewski (28-14), who will be looking to bounce back from a split decision loss to Chris Clements.
Sidelining Bedford is a shoulder injury. Bedford was expected to face Hugo “Wolverine” Vianna (7-1), who is looking to get back in the win column after being stopped by TJ Dillashaw at UFC on Fox 7. The UFC is currently searching for an opponent for Vianna.
