Kennedy Welcomes Machida to Middleweight at UFC Fight for the Troops 3
Looking for a change in scenery Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida (19-4) has decided to test him self in the UFC’s Middleweight division, welcoming the former Light Heavyweight champion to the division will be former Strikeforce Middleweight title challenger Tim Kennedy (16-4).
After consecutive wins over Ryan Bader and Dan Henderson in bouts that were billed as possible number 1 contender bouts, Lyoto Machida would then loose by split decision to Phil Davis. Machida is 4-4 in since capturing the UFC Light Heavyweight title from Rashad Evans.
Tim Kennedy has won back to back fights over Trevor smith and Roger Gracie, since failing to dethrone Luke Rockhold as Strikeforce Middleweight champion.
UFC Fight for the Troops 3 (UFC Fight Night 31) will take place on November 6 at Fort Campbell in Kentucky.
