UFC 164’s Romero vs. Houston Canceled
The replacement for injured Derek Brunson (10-2), Brian Houston (4-0) has a medical issue that has forced the cancellation of his promotional debut against Yoel Romero (5-1) at UFC 164.
The Romero vs. Houston bout was expected to be part of the facebook portion of UFC 164 on August 31, at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; headlined by Anthony “Showtime” Pettis challenging Benson “Smooth” Henderson for the UFC Lightweight title.
Houston is coming off a 48 second TKO of Jett Jones, which happened on July 27.
Romero is coming off his promotional debut knocking out Clifford Straks in under 2 minutes.
