WSOF 5 Adds 4 Fights, 3 with Gracie’s

The card for WSOF 5 is filling fast. The promotion has announced a trio of fight with Gracie family members along with a Featherweight bout between Georgi “Insane” Karakhanyan (21-3-1) and Waylon Lowe (13-4).

Karakhanyan has won 7 fights in a row since losing to Parricio Freire. Most recently Karakhanyan won a unanimous decision over Din Thomas at Legacy FC 19. Lowe has won 4 fights in a row , including at WSOF 2 defeating Cameron Dollar by unanimous decision.

In a Heavyweight match-up Rolles Gracie (8-1) meets Derrick “Caveman” Mehmen (15-5). Rolles Gracie has won 5 fights in a row, with his last win coming over Yusuke Kawaguchi. Rolles Gracie has all his wins by submission. Mehmen’s last win came by unanimous decision over Louis DeWerdt which extends the “Caveman’s” winning streak to 3.

Gregor Gracie (7-3) faces Richard Patishnock (5-1) in a Welterweight contest. Gregor Gracie has lost 2 of 3, including suffering a TKO loss to Tyson Steele at WSOF 1. Gregor Gracie has 6 of 7 wins by submission including his last win at One FC 5 over Nicholas Mann. Patishnock bounced back form his first pro loss to defeat Igor Gracie by TKO at WSOF 2.

At Middleweight in his pro debut Neiman Gracie takes on Darren Costa (0-1). Costa lost his pro debut at Light Heavyweight by TKO to Jose Pinto.

WSOF 5 takes place on September 14, at the Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The main event will see Andrei Arlovski collide with Mike Kyle.
