3 Fights Added to WSOF 6, Topped by Burkman vs. Carl

World Series of Fighting has announced that the main event of WSOF 6 will crown a promotional Welterweight champion when Josh “The People’s Warrior” Burkman (26-9) vs. Steve Carl (20-3).

WSOF 6 will take place on October 26, at the Bank United Center in Coral Gables, Florida.

Burkman has won 5 in a row and 8 of his last 9, including defeating Gerald Harris (UD), Aaron Simpson (TKO), and Jon Fitch (SUB); since joining WSOF. Carl has won 6 consecutive bouts all by submission and that includes WSOF wins over Ramico Blackmon and Tyson Steele.

Also announced for the event is a Bantamweight contest pitting Marlon Moraes (11-4-1) against Carson Beebe (14-2) and lightweight Justn Gaethje (9-0) and Dan Lauzon (17-4) will battle in what should be a title eliminator.

Moraes has won 5 fight in a row including 3-0 under the WSOF banner with wins over Miguel Torres, Tyson Nam, and Brandon Hempleman. Beebee bounced back form a decision loss to Rolando Velasco, that ended a 7 fight winning streak to defeat Joe Murphy by decision in his promotional debut.

Gaethje has won 4 fights in a row by KO/TKO including defeating Gesias Cavalcante and Brian Cobb under the WSOF banner. Gerthje last win over Cobb was highly impressive as the TKO was dude to vicious leg kicks. Since losing back to back fight in the UFC and being released from the UFC, Dan Lauzon has won his last 5 fights, most recently earning a unanimous decision win over John Gnderson.
