Castillo Battles Barboza at UFC on Fox 9
The latest addition to December UFC on Fox 9 is a Lightweight contest pitting Team Alpha Males Danny “Last Call” Castillo (16-5) against The Armory’s Edson “Junior” Barboza (12-1).
Castillo, since his last set back a knockout to Michael Johnson, has won consecutive fights by decision over Paul Sass and Tim Means.
Much the same since Barboza was knocked out by Jamie Varner; he’s rebounded by stopping Lucas Martins, submission due to strikes and Rafaello Oliveira; TKO via leg kicks.
UF C on Fox 9 takes place on December 14th at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California; and is headlined by Josh “The Punk” Thomson challenging Anthony “Showtime” Pettis for the UFC Lightweight title.
