Cedenblad Replaces Injured Watson vs. Sakara at UFC Fight Night 30
A Middleweight bout scheduled for UFC Fight Night 30 with Tom “Kong” Watson (16-6) against Alessio “Legionarius” Sakara (15-10), has undergone a change with Watson pulling due to injury; and now is being replaced by Magnus “Jycken” Cedenblad (11-4)
Tom Watson in his next contest will be looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Thales Leites at UFC 163.
Sakra fights with his back against the wall looking to snap a 3 fight losing streak to Chris Weidman (UD), Brian Stann (KO), and Patrick Cote (DQ). The 3 fight losinhg streak comes on the heels of a 3 fight winning streak in which “Legionarius” defeated Joe Vedepo (KO), Thales Leites (SD), and James Irvin (TKO).
Cedenblad debuted in the UFC at UFC on Fuel TV 2, suffering a submission loss to Francis Cramont; which ended a 7 fight winning streak. The “Jycken” bounced back to score the 4th submission of his career when he defeated Jared Hamman by guillotine choke.
UFC Fight Night 30 take place on October 26, at the Phones 4U Arena in Manchester, England; and is headlined by Michael “The Count” Bisping bs. Mark “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Munoz.
