Ebersole vs. Story added to UFC 167
The UFC has announced the addition of a Welterweight contest between Brian “Bad Boy” Ebersole (50-15-1, 1 nc) and Rick “The Horror” Story (15-7).
Ebersole has spent the last 5 fights of his long career in the octagon. In that time Ebersole has wins over Chris Lytle (UD), Dennis Hallman (TKO),Claude Patrixk (SD), and TJ Waldburger (UD). The last time Ebersole was in action was at UFC 149, when James Head was given the judges nod by split decision. The “Bad Boy” will have been pout of action for 16 months when he enters the octagon on November 16.
Story debuted in the UFC with a decision loss to John Hathaway and then compiled a 6 fight winning streak. The winning streak and all Story’s momentum would be halted by consecutive decision losses to Charlie Brenneman and Martin Kampmann. In his last four fights Story has alternated wins and losses, having defeated Brock Jargine and Quinn Mulhern; while losses have come against Demian Maia and Mike Pyle.
UFC 167 is at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, on November 16; and is headlined by Johny Hendricks challenging George St. Pierre for the UFC Welterweight title.
