In Australia it’s being reported that Heavyweights Pat “HD” Barry (8-6) and Soa “The Hulk” Palelei have agreed to meet each other at UFC Fight Night 33.

Barry for the majority of his UFC career has alternated win and losses. Barry is 2-2 in his last 4 fights, defeating Christian Morecraft (KO), losing to Lavar Johnson (TKO), stopping Shane Del Rosario (KO), and is now looking to rebound from a TKO loss to Shawn Jordan. Barry is a well traveled martial artist who has trained at Roufusport, Deathcluthch, Minnesota Martial Arts Academy, Grudge Training Center, and at Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s MMA; just to name a few.

Palelie first stepped into the octagon in 2007 at UFC 79, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Eddie Sanchez and was then cut from the promotion. After a 13-1 run around the world and 9 fight winning streak “The Hulk” would get a 2nd chance in the UFC. At UFC 164 while suffering the effects of an injured rib Palelei would not let this moment slip through his hands and “The Hulk” would defeat Nikita Krylov by 3rd round TKO.

Pat Barry is a fan favorite because he wears his heart on his sleeves; he comes to finish or be finished, and doesn’t know how to be in a boring fight. Even as a fan favorite you can expect that that the crowd at the Queensland Capital at Brisbane Entertainment Center will on December 7, at UFC Fight Night 33; will be on the side of Perth, Australia resident Soa Palelie.
