Magahles Encounters Ring at UFC Fight Night 33

A Middleweight bout with the classic grappler vs. striker match-up has been made for UFC fight Night 33, pitting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter Caio “Hellboy” Magahales (6-1) vs. Canadian Boxer Nick “The Promise” Ring (13-2).

Magahles a Nova Unioa trained fighter entered the UFC at 5-0. In his promotional debut Magahles would taste defeat for the first time losing a unanimous decision to Buddy Roberts. Now Magahles will look to build off his sophomore outing a come from behind submission win over Karlos Vemola at UFC on Fuel TV 10.

TUF season 11 alum Ring who train at the Tri Start Gym, started his MMA career at 12-0, but has since seen a decision win over Court McGee sandwiched by decision losses to Tim Boetsch (unanimous) and Chris Cammozzi (split).

UFC Fight Night 33 takes place on December 7th at the Queensland Capital at Birsbane Entertainment Centre, in Australia; and is headlined by Mark “The Super Saoman” Hunt vs. Antoniio “Big Foot” Silva in a Heavyweight clash.
