Neto Injured, Replaced by Houston vs. Brunson at Fight for the Troops 3

Brian Houston (4-0) will face Derek Brunson (10-2) at UFC Fight for the Troops 3 (UFC Fight Night 31), after it being announced that Antonio Braga Neto (9-1) is injured and has withdrawn from the scheduled Middleweight contest.

Brunson has been scheduled to fight 3 times in the UFC at UFC 155 he made his promotional debut defeating Chris Leben. At UFC on Fuel TV 10 Brunson had expected to fight Ronny Markes, but Markes was force out of the bout when he was in a car accident on the way to the weigh-ins. Brunson then himself due to injury was forced to pull out of a bout with Yoel Romero scheduled for UFC 164.

Once Brunson withdrew from UFC 164, Houston served as the replacement to face Romero. The bout did not happen as Houston end up not being medically cleared. Houston has 3 of 4 wins by KO/TKO and his last 2 have both come in under a minute.

UFC Fight for the Toops (UFC Fight Night 31) takes place at Fort Campbell in Kentucky on November 6th, the main event will see the Middleweight debut of Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida vs. Armed Forces vet Tim Kennedy.
