Rumor- Lee vs. Pettis at UFC 167
The UFC has reportedly signed the RFA Flyweight champion Sergio Pettis (9-0) who is expected to be welcomed to the octagon by Vaughn Lee (13-9-1) in a Bantamweight contest at UFC 167.
Sergio the younger brother of UFC Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and is also a Duke Roufus protégé. Pettis since knocking out Dillard Pegg to become the 1st ever RFA Flyweight champion has also submitted James Porter at North American FC event.
Lee last competed at UFC on Fuel TV 10, being submitted by Raphael Assuncao. The British submission specialist has during his UFC run been defeated by TJ Dillashaw and Chris Cariaso; while himself defeating “Kid” Yamamoto and Motonobu Tezuka.
UFC 167 takes place on November at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada; and is headlined by Johny “Big Rigg” Hendricks Challenging Georges St. Pierre for the UFC Welterweight title.
