Cody East vs. Esteves Jones added to Havoc

Caged Minds has learned of a Heavyweight bout has been added to the December 6, Havoc event at the Route 66 Hotel & Casino’ Pitting current King of the Cage Heavyweight champion Cody “The Freight Train” East 7-1 against former King of the Cage champion Esteves “Quite Riot” Jones (8-6).

For East this will be his first bout since defeating Nick Rossborough in June of 2013 to capture the KOTC Heavyweight title. East is currently on a 4 fight winning streak, that includes 1st round stoppages of Kinny Spotwood (SUB), Andenilson Clementino (TKO) and Lolohea Mahe (TKO). “The Freight Train” in the title bout also put his cardio on display going the distance the first time in his career in a 5 round title affair. East is a state champion wrestler with knockout power in his lands.

Jones comes into this bout on a 3 fight losing streak and having lost 5 of his last 6. The current losing streak consists of loss to Anthony Johnson (TKO), Salimgirey Rasulov, and Wes Combs (TKO). The “Quite Rito’s” last win came in March of 2012 at WMMA 1, defeating Deutsch Pu’u by a 1st round TKO. Jones has fought as high as a Super Heavyweight and as low as Light Heavyweight. Jones has 7 wins by stoppage with 6 coming by (T)KO.
