Glenn out Palmer in Inaugural WSOF Featherweight Title Bout vs. Karakhan
Both injury and personal reason have been mentioned but either way Rich “The Gladiator” Glenn has withdrawn from WSOF 7, giving newly signed Team Alpha Male member Lance “The Party” Palmer (7-0) the opportunity to face Millennia MMA’s “Insane” Georgi Karakhanyan (22-3-1) for the inaugural WSOF Featherweight title.
Palmer is coming off a split decision win over Jared Downing at RFA 8, winning the RFA Featherweight title. “The Party” has 3 wins by stoppage all by submission guillotine, arm-triangle, and rear-naked; all chokes. Palmer also holds a notable win over WEC and YFC vet Fredson Paixao.
Karakhanyan is currently on a 8 fight win streak including most recently submitting Waylon Lowe by guillotine choke at WSOF 5. The “Insane” Bellator vet has 16 stoppage wins with 12 by submission.
WSOF 7 takes place on December 7 at the Pine Agrodome in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The main event will not feature a title bout but, will see Anthony “Rumble” Johnson vs. Mike “Mak” Kyle in a Light Heavyweight scrap.
