Nogueira Injury Cancels Gustafsson Bout Again
For the second time an injury to Brazilian Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (21-5) will force the cancellation of a scheduled main event bout with Swed Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson (15-2).
Nogueira a Pride vet is currently on a 2 fight win streak with wins over Tito Ortiz (TKO) and Rashad Evans (UD). Injuries sadly of been a huge part of Nogueiras’ time in the UFC and have led to several bout cancellations.
Gustafsson is coming off a fight of the year candidate, title match match loss to Jon Jones at UFC 165; that ended a 6 fight win streak.
The UFC will be back in London, England at the O2 Arena on March 8, 2014; and as of now the rematch from UFC Fight Night of Ross Pearson vs. Melvin Guillard is the only scheduled bout.
