UFC Fight Night 33- Melancon vs. Whittaker Canceled Due to Injury
Injury will sideline heavy handed welterweight Brian Melancon (7-3) and cancel his expected UFC Fight Night 33 Welterweight encounter with TUF “Smashes” winner Rober Whittaker(11-1).
The UFC has said that Whittaker will be rescheduled to another event with another opponent in the near future.
Melancon was looking to rebound from a UFC Fight Night 27 submission loss to Kelvin Gastelum, while Whittaker is coming off a decision loss to Court McGee.
UFC Fight Night 33 takes place on December 6, at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia; headlined by Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva vs. Mark “Super Samoan” Hunt.
