Vaughan Lee & Aleksandra Albu Injured
Undisclosed injuries have knocked Vaughan Lee (13-9-1) out of UFC 167 and delayed the promotional debut of Aleksandra Albu (5-0), that was scheduled for UFC Fight Night 33.
Lee who was coming off a submission loss to top 10 Bantamweight Raphael Assuncao at UFC on Fuel TV 10. At UFC 167 on November 16 at the MGM Grand Graden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada; was going to be the octagon welcoming opponent for UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis’s little Brother Sergio Pettis (9-0). Pettis was the RFA’s first ever Flyweight champion.
Not much is know about Russian Fighter Aleksandra Albu who is said to be a very strong, physical fighter. Albu had been scheduled to make her promotional debut against tough vet Julie Kedzie (16-12), who is looking to bounce back from a decision loss to Germaine de Randamie. UFC Fight Night 33 takes place on December 7, at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Both Julie Kedzie and Sergio Pettis are expected to both remain on their scheduled events, as the UFC is currently searching for replacements.
