Aguilar Battles Gray for Inaugural Strawweight Strap at WSOF 8
World Series of Fighting 8 will feature 2 title fights with the recent announcement that the worlds number 1ranked Strawweight Jessica “Jag” Aguilar (16-4) will face Alida Gray (4-0) for the inaugural WSOF Women’s Strawweight championship.
American Top Teams, Aguilar has won 7 fights in a row including defeating Carla Esparza, Lisa Ward-Ellis, and twice bettering legend Megumi Fujii. “Jag” has 7 of 9 stoppage wins via submission.
Gray a 1996 Olympic Judo alternate is currently ranked number 10 in the women’s Strawweight divisions. Gray a member of the El Paso based Bushido MMA in 4 pro fights has defeated Patricia Vidonic (SUB), Jessica Armstrong-Kennett (TKO), Soannia Tiem (KO), and Katie Klimansky-Casimir (TKO).
WSOF 8 takes place on January 8, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Holywood Florida; headlined by Lewis Gonzalez vs. Justin Gaethje for the inaugural WSOF Lightweight championship.
