Arantes Meets Blanco at UFC Fight Night 36

The newest bout added the UFC Fight Night 36 card pits to furious striking featherweights against each other with Felipe Arantes (15-6-1) meeting Maximo Blanco (9-5-1).
Arantes in 5 fights in the UFC is 2-2-1. If the judges would have been slightly more on Arentes side he would be on a 3 fight wining streak with his last 4 fights being a split draw vs. Milton Vieira, a TKO win over Godofredo Pepy, and most recently a split decision loss to Edimildon Souza.
Blanco was signed to Strikeforce after mainly having competed in Japan and having won 6 fights in a row. But since coming to America Blanco has been submitted by Pat Healy, dropped a split decision to Marcus Brimage, turned thing around to defeat Sam Sicilia; and is now looking to get back on track after being disqualified for kneeing Akirsa Corassani to the face, breaking Corassanis’ nose; while he was a grounded opponent.
UFC Fight Night 36 takes place on February 15, at the Arena Jatagua in Jagaua Do Sul in Santa Catrina, Brazil; headlined by a Middleweight bout between former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida former Dream and Strikeforce world champion Gegard “The Dreamcatcher” Mousasi.
