Browne vs. Werdum & Carmouche vs. Tate at UFC on Fox 11

MMA: UFC Fight Night 26-Weigh-ins

It has been pretty well known that Travis “Hapa” Browne (15-1-1) and Fabricio “Vai Cavalo” Werdum (17-5-1) have been put on a collision course with the prevailing winner earning a UFC Heavyweight tile shot, that collision will take place at UFC on Fox 11 in Orlando, Florida on April 19.

It has also been announced that former title challengers, looking to get back in the win column will tangle as Miesha “Cupcake” Tate (13-5) squares off with Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche (9-4).

Browne in his UFC career is 7-1-1 including a current 3 fight knockout streak having stopped Gabriel Gonzaga, Alistair Overeem, and Josh Barnett.

Werdum is 6-1 in his last 7 fights. Since a decision loss to Alistair Overeem in Strikefroce, “Vai Cavalo” in the UFC has defeated Roy Nelson (UD), Mike Russow (TKO), and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (SUB).

Carmouche in the UFC has a losses to Ronda Rousey (SUB) and Alexis Davis (UD), sandwiching a TKO win over Jessica Andrade.

In her last 4 fights Tate is 1-3, with has a pair of armbar losses to Ronda Rousey, a TKO loss to Cat Zingano; and her lone win coming by armbaring Julie Kedzie.

It’s also worth noting that the UFC has announced that the Werdum- Browne match-up is not the Main event, but that the UFC on Fox 11 main event will be announced soon.
