3 Fights Added to MFC 40: Crowned Kings
Maximum Fighting Championships have announced 3 new additions to their May 9th, crowned kings event with at Lightweight Marcus Edwards (6-2) clashing with Aaron Gallant (6-5) and Jonatas Novaes (11-5) collides with Andrew Mcinnes (4-1), as well as at Light Heavyweight Sean O’Connell (15-4) faces Victor Valimaki (17-8).
Edwards is coming off a on short notice promotional debut at MFC 39 in which Edwards submitted Sean Powers in the first round.
Gallant is on a 4 fight win streak, with 3 of the 4 wins coming by TKO including stopping Matt Jelly at MFC 38.
Novaes will be looking to bounce back from a TKO loss to Kurt Southern that ended a 2 fight winning streak.
Mcinnes has won 4 fights in a row all by submission and is coming off a MFC 39 rear naked choke of Dan Ring.
O’Connell vs. Valimaki had originally been scheduled for but was canceled due to Valimaki, who is coming off ending a 3 fight skid with a TKO of Tim Chemelli, became ill. O’Connell is on a 6 fight win streak with 3 TKO’s and a submission in that span.
MFC 40: Crowned Kings takes place on May 9, at the Shaw Conference Center in Edmonton Alberta Canada; headlining the event is a triple header of title bouts with the MFC Middleweight, Lightweight, and Bantamweight titles on the line.
