The World Series of Fighting debut of former UFC title challenger Yushin “Thinder “ Okami (29-8) as had been rumored will come at WSOF 9 against fellow Middleweight Svetlozar Savov (12-4)
Japanese Judoka Okami has not fought since a TKO loss to Ronaldo Souza. The loss which ended a 3 fight win streak and left “Thunder” 3-3 in his last 6 fights led to his parting of ways with the UFC.
Bulgarian, Savov has won 3 of his last 4, with 10 of 11 stoppages in the first round; and 8 wins by submission.
WSOF 9 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, takes place on March 29; headlined by Rousimar Palhares challenging Steve Carl for the WSOF Welterweight title.
