Kevin Croom Meets Jeremy Spoon Nov. 22
Hungry to get back in the cage “The Hard Hitting Hillbilly” will be returning to 145lbs. for a golden opportunity to face an opponent he expected to face in 2011.
The vacant Oklahoma Fighting Championships Featherweight title will be up for grabs as Kevin Croom (14-6) clashes with Jeremy Spoon (16-3) on Nov. 22 at the Lucky Star Casino in Checotah, Oklahoma.
Croom a member of Luttrell’s MMA and Albuquerque Kickboxing & MMA, from Dec. 2012 to Feb. 2014 won 9 fights in a row. During the winning streak “The Hard Hitting Hillbilly” collected a pair of knock outs, 4 RNC’s and 4 decisions; counting a lone kickboxing match too. Croom will be gunning for his 2nd world title having won a Bantamweight title in Kazahstan in Dec of 2013; with a TKO (corner stoppage) of Aslan Toktarbaev. Now Croom will be looking to rebound after having loss a split decision at MFC 40 to Jesse Brock and having lost a decision to Juan Carlos Guillen in a recent, on short notice professional boxing debut, for Croom.
Spoon a Bellator tournament vet and Oklahoma native fighting out of Apex Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, is 4-3 in his last 7 fights. Spoon most recently dropped a split decision loss to Ryan Roberts, which ended a 4 fight winning streak; that saw Spoon, who has 9 wins by submission; submit Cody Carrillo and Christopher Brooks.
