New ECS One Main Event Features Leyva vs. Lovato
Eleven O2 promotions has announced a new main event for January 24th’s, ECS One with Chris “The Lightning” Leyva (9-7) replacing Francisco Marin (0-1) against Lenny “The Godfather” Lovato (8-4).
Leyva, a member of Team Four Corners, is currently on a 6 fight losing streak, which comes after having been on a 7 fight win streak. Leyva last fought at Fresquez Productions “Havoc” event, losing a unanimous decision to Chuck Pieritz. Leyva maybe on a extended losing streak but he’s been fighting against a elite caliber of competition with losses to Tim Means, Michael Guymon, Joe Riggs, and Will Brooks. With power in his hands Leyva has 6 of 7 stoppage wins by (T)KO. Including his most recent win a 2010 3rd round TKO of Nathan Randall.
Lovato a Bellator and Legacy vet has lost 4 fight in a row. Lovato last had his hand raised in June of 2009 when he scored an unanimous decision win over Nate Mohr. Lovato will be looking to regain the form that saw him start off his career 8-0 with 7 stoppages, 3 (T)KO’s and 4 submissions.
