Jacare to meet the Barbarian in Brooklyn
The newest addition to UFC 208 is a Middleweight bout with number 3 ranked contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza squaring off with number 14 ranked Tim “The Barbarian” Boetsch.
Souza is one of the top BJJ practitioners in all of MMA, but “Jacare” only fought once in 2016, scoring a Tko of Vitor Belfort in May to rebound from a split decision loss to Yoel Romero; which ended a 8 fight win streak.
Boetsch is a heavy handed grinder, who had a rough 2015 and start to 2016 dropping 3 straight, to Thales Leites (sub), Dan Henderson (ko), and EdHerman (ko); but righted the ship with consecutive wins over Josh Samman (tko) and Rafael Natal (ko).
UFC 208 take place on Saturday, February 11th, at the Barclays Center, in Brooklyn, New York.
