Penn vs. Siver Rescheduled for June 25 in Oklahoma City
During this weeks addition of UFC Tonight, UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City, was announced for June 25, at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, with 4 bouts official.
The most notable of the announced fights is the rescheduling of BJ Penn vs. Dennis Siver, which was originally to take place at UFC 199, before Siver withdrew due to injury. Penn the former Welterweight and Lightweight champion, will be making his 3rd attempt to get his 1st win in his 3rd different weight class, and end a 5-fight win-less streak. Germany’s, Siver hasn’t fought in two years since losing a decision to Tatsuya Kawajiri, which followed a TKO loss to Conor McGregor.
In a Middleweight contest number 15 ranked contender Tim “The Barbarian” Boetsch faces former Welterweight champion Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks, who went to college in Oklahoma.
A pair of Light Heavyweight contests where also announced with Sweden’s Ilir “The Sledgehammer” Latifi set to face Brazil’s “Lil Nog” Antonio “Minotouro” Rogerio Nogueira & TUF 23 alum Josh Stansbury meets former FFC Light Heavyweight champion “Grizzly” Jeremy Kimball.
In a battle of TUF 20 vets Felice “Pitbull”Herrig, who’s on a 2 fight win streak, will throw down with, undefeated Justine Kish.
