Sanchez to scrap with Antonlin for GKO title
Global Knockouts have announced that the vacant GKO Flyweight title will be on the line August 5th, at GKO 10. Battling for the title will be TUF 24 alum Adam Antolin (12-3) of the American Kickboxing Academy & UFC vet Joby Sanchez (9-2) of JacksonWink MMA.
On season 24 of TUF Antolin pulled off a stunning upset, with a TKO Damacio Page, but was eliminated from the competition following a unanimous decision loss to Japan’s, Hiromasa Ogikubo. Outside reality show fights, Antolin is on a 8 fight win streak over the last 5 years. Antolin scored his 9th submission victory in late march, forcing Irfan Khan to tap from an arm-triangle choke.
Out the gate Sanchez started his pro career 6-0, getting the call to the UFC. Sanchez parted ways the promotion following a 1-2 stint. Back on the regional scene Sanchez submitted Martin Sandoval at GKO 7 and is coming off a February split decision win over Jesus Urbina in the main event of JacksonWink Fight Night 1.
GKO 10 takes place at the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort.
