Valerie Letourneau makes Bellator debut July 14
Newly signed free agent, Valerie Letourneau will officially enter the Bellator woman’s Flyweight division July 14, at Bellator 181, against Emily Ducote.
Letourneau (8-6) signed with Bellator after a 6 fight stint with the UFC in which she competed at both Bantamweight (135 lbs) & strawweight (115lbs). In all Letourneau went 3-3, earning a starweight title shot, sfter a 3-0 start to her tenure in the octagon, which included being 2-0 at 115lbs, that would turn into a 3 fight skid. The cut to 115 lbs was a rough one for Letourneau who should be at her best as a Flyweight.
Ducote (5-2) lost her pro debut, then won 4 straight, before losing a decision to Ilima-Lei Macfarlane. Three months later Ducote would gwt back in the win column, tapping Katy Collins out with at rear naked choke in the 1st round of their bout at Bellator 174.
Bellator 181 on july 14 takes place at the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
