Holloway’s first title defense Headlines UFC 218

The UFC will role into the Motor City for a pay per view in early December with the main event being a Featherweight title bout.
Max “Blessed” Holloway will defend the UFC Featherweight title for the first time against former Lightweight champion and number 2 ranked contender Frankie “The Answer” Edgar at UFC 218, December 2, at the Little Ceasars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
Hawaii’s Holloway is on a 11 fight win streak, coming off dethroning Jose Aldo, with a 3 third round TKO, at UFC 212.
New Jersey’s, Edgar is 7-2 at 145 lbs., both loss being decisions to Jose Aldo. Edgar has rebounded from his UFC 200 loss, with a decision over Jeremey Stephens and a TKO by doctor stoppage of Yair Rodriguez.
Holloway is a combination striker, tight and technical, plus is very active at attacking the body. Edgar is one of the faster guys at Featherweight and is constant movement. Mostly a boxer on the feet, Edgar will mix in low kicks, and takedowns.
