Injury forces change to UFC 221 Main Event
UFC Middleweight Champion, Robert Whittaker has been forced to withdraw from UFC 221 due to injury, but Luke Rockhold will still be in the nights featured attraction.
The former Strikeforce & UFC Champion will now face former Cuban Olympic wrestler Yoel Romero, with a interim Middleweight Title on the line.
Rockhold (16-3) is coming off a September, 2nd round finish of David Branch. In July Romero (12-2), at UFC 213 dropped a unanimous decision to Robert Whittaker, which was for a interim Middleweight Title.
Whittaker recently became champion after Georges St. Pierre dethroned Micheal Bisping and then vacated the title.
UFC 221 is February 10th in Perth, Western Australia.
