Jackson’s MMA Series XXV Results
The Ballroom at the Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino once again played host to the Jackson’s MMA Series. Jackson’s MMA Series XXV, the 10 fight card, headlined by Jess “Vanilla Gorilla” Martinez against Henry “Boom Boom” Barahona.

Amateur Daniel Martinez defeats Marcus Ortega by tap out guillotine late in round one.
Kevin Moore defeats Zacarias Rodriguez by a unanimous decision — both are making their amateur debuts tonight. Moore dominated the first two rounds as he was able to take down Rodriguez and dominate from the top—Rodrigues was tenacious and refused to go down giving Moore a good battle—this fight was a good “scrap”
Nate Cullison (3-0) defeats Charles Gillespie (0-0) by knockout referee stoppage at 1:53 in round one–Gillespie suffered a cut above the right eye as well–both fighters had their fair share of kicks and punches in this high energy bout
Jesse Moorhouse (2-1) defeats Franky Renteria (0-0) by tap out at 1:39 in the second round
Dan Argueta (2-1) of Santa Fe defeats Jesse Sanders (1-1) of Albuquerque by unanimous decision.
Argueta in round 1 took down Sanders and delivered strikes to the face of Sanders with his hand and elbows setting the tone for this fight–round 2 was more of the same with Argueta on top at the end of the round seeking to pin Sanders—round three had Argueta with a quick take-down early in the round —a battle of wits as Argueta continued to pummel Sanders with blows—using his brute strength to try and pin Sanders —Sanders to his credit was agile enough to avoid being pinned down— however–Sanders did not mount enough of an offense to win this fight
Brianne Juhn (1-1) of Albuquerque defeats Jessica Pitts (0-0 )by unanimous decision—an assertive and Juhn controlled all three rounds
Josiah Reyes (1-1) defeats Andre Mitchel (1-4 in second round by TKO at 2:47—Reyes relentless attack with his knees early in the second round was too much for Mitchell to bear –round 1 had Mitchell as the aggressor early on and later in round one Reyes was able to gain the upper hand leading to that powerful second round for Reyes
Jorge Martinez (0-0) defeats Jesse Tafoya (0-0) by tap out —round 1 –after the initial sparring Tafoya takes down Martinez–Martinez fights back with punches and is able to recoup and be on top —Tafoya battles back and goes on top at the end if the round—round 2 an assertive Martinez wins by tap out
In the main event of the night Jess Martinez (3-0) defeated Henry Barahona (2-2) with a rear naked choke tap out at 4:09 in the 3rd round.
