Chris Brown vs. Yemi Oduwole Among 6-pack of additions to LFA 71
Much talked about JacksonWink Prospect Chris “Breezy” Brown is set to make his LFA debut July 12th against Yemi Oduwole.
Brown last fought in November, defeating 37-fight vet Warren Stewart. In a streak of bad luck, out of the ordinary circumstances have caused his last three scheduled bouts to fall apart. The 30-year-old, Houston is a main sparring partner for Diego Sanchez & Holly Holm. Since losing his pro debut Oduwole has been on a tear going on a 5-fight win streak. In his most recent outing, the Georgia native beat UFC vet Clay Harvison by unanimous decision. The 29-year-old has 2 finishes both submissions.
After an unsuccessful trip to Lightweight, Demarques “Scrap Iron” Jackson returns to Welterweight to face Brazilian Jemerson “Toco” Souza, who’ll be making his US debut, in the evenings co-main event. Jackson has won three of his last four fight and has four of his six stoppages by submission. Souza has won four of his last five fights and two in a row.
The other main card addition will see Tyler “Wolverine” Ray, who’s on a 3-fight win streak up against Hugh “The Wolverine” Pulley, who’s won three of his las five fights.
On the prelim card, unbeaten Leivon Lewis a Georgia native training at JacksonWink MMA will take on Mississippi’s Jonathan Jackson. At Lightweight UFC vet Clay “Heavy Metal” Harvison squares off with”Iron” Mike Barnett, who’s on a 7-fight win streak. Last but not least, at Middleweight unbeaten Impa Kasanganay takes on Devorious Yubbs, who has three of his four wins by decision.
LFA 71 is set for July 12th at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, Georgia.
