Cejudo vs. Aldo is official for UFC 250
Henry Cejudo will make his first defense of the UFC Bantamweight championship in the main event of UFC 250.
The challenger may come as a surprise or may not depending on how much you follow social media. Cejudo has recently been calling out former featherweight champion Jose Aldo. The call outs turned to rumors and the rumors are now facts.
The championship contest will be the headliner of UFC 250 at Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Soa Paulo, Brazil.
Cejudo an Olympic gold medalist on a five-fight win streak. Cejudo won the UFC flyweight title at UFC 227. Five months later, Cejudo successfully defended his title stopping then Bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw in 32-seconds. At UFC this past June Cejudo transformed into “Triple-c” winning his triple world championship, becoming the UFC bantamweight title by third round TKO of Marlon Moraes
Aldo will look to join a list of fighters to win titles in titles in two divisions in the UFC, which includes Randy Couture, BJ Penn, Georges St. Pierre, Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, & Henry Cejudo. The former WEC & two-time UFC featherweight champion also joins Frankie Edgar & Chael Sonnen. As fighters who will compete in a title fight coming off a loss and it is not a rematch. The Brazilian legend is coming off a razor thin split decision loss to Marlon Moraes at UFC 245, which was his debut at bantamweight.
