Baboza moves the featherweight meets Emmett at UFC OKC
A surefire featherweight slobber knocker has been added to UFC Oklahoma.
First reported by Combate, instead of being granted his release as was requested just days ago Edson “Junior” Barboza will making his 145lbs. debut against Josh Emmett.
Barbosa has fought his last 22 bouts inside the Octagon. “Junior” is 5-4 in his last nine fight, a strange number right, but all nine of those fights have come against ranked opponents. Barboza is currwntly the number 10 ranked lightweight contender and is one of the most electrifying strikers in UFC history. Scoring spectacular knockouts, the two most not worthy a wheel kick that turned out Terry Etim’s lights at UFC 142 & a flying knee that crushed Beneil Daruish at UFC Fight Night 106.
Josh Emmett comes in as the number nine ranked contender in the featherweight division. Emmett is a sniper who only needs one shot to put anyone. The proof is in the knockouts he scored over Ricardo Lamas, and his two most recent wins over Michael Johnson, & Mirsad Bektic. A member of Team Alpha Male, Emmett has half of his professional fight inside the octagon.
UFC on ESPN+ 32 takes place May 2nd at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
