UFC Fight Night “Santos vs. Teixeira” Easy Read Results
The UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts UFC Fight Night “Santos vs. Teixeira”. The ten-fight card is headlined by a light-heavyweight contest between top contenders, number one ranked Thiago Santos versus number three ranked Glover Teixeira.
Thiago Santos returns to the octagon 16-months after completly tearing up his knee in the main event of UFC 239. That night Santos lost a decision to then champion Jon Jones ending a four-fight win streak. Glover Teixeira comes in on a four-fight win streak. Three of the wins by stoppage, two submissions & a knockout.
The Co-main event is a heavyweght match-up. Former champion Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski squares off with Tanner “The Bulldozer” Boser. Arlovski has won tow of his last three fights, while Boser has consecutive kkockout wins.
In an update to the card. A positivie Covid-19 test has cancelled Brendan Allen (15-3) vs. Ian Heinisch (14-3) schedlued for middleweight. The prelims will now be starting at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+. The main card simalcasts on ESPN+ & ESPN2 at 10 p.m. ET. Giga Chikadze (11-2) vs. Jamey Simmons (6-2) has been elevated to the main card.
