Flyweight Title Fight headlines Bellator 262
Juliana Velasquez has been scheduled for the first defense of her Bellator flyweight crown.
The unbeaten champion will defend against Denise “Miss Dynamite” Kielholtz in the main event of Bellator 262 on July 16th at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Velasquez (11-0) dethroned Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, who held the title for over three years, by unanimous decision at Bellator 254. While climbing the ladder the Brazilian picked up wins over Rebecca Ruth, Alejandra Lara, & Bruna Ellen in the Bellator cage.
Kielholtz (6-2) a world champion kickboxer first gave MMA a try in 2015 as a one off. In 2017 the Dutch fighter committed to MMA after five fights in Bellator Kickboxing. The transition has seen “Miss Dynamite” win five of her six fights. Currently Kielholtz is on a four-fight win streak of finishes.
