The Apex in Las Vegas Nevada hosts UFC Fight Night “Font vs Vera”. The 12-fight card is headlined be a top 10 bantamweight matchup.
Massachusetts’ Rob Font is a technical striker who works behind a stinging jab. The 34-year-old number five ranked Bantamweight has won four of his last five fights including adding three wins over world champions to his resume. Font now looks to start a new win streak after falling short against Jose Aldo in December. Ecuador’s Marlon Vera is a Muay Thai style striker with more submissions then knocks on his resume and has never been finished. Since a loss to former champion Jose Aldo, “Chito” the number eight ranked Bantamweight, has rebounded with a decision win over Davey Grant & stopped Frankie Edgar with a front kick. Adding a little extra heat to the pan Font missed weight for the fight by two pounds.
