Bruno Cappelozza Headlines Line up for 2022 PFL 5
Event number 5 of the 2022 PFL regular season will feature Heavyweight & Featherweight action. The 2021 Heavyweight champion Bruno Cappelozza will be in the main event against fellow countryman Matheus Scheffel. Cappelozza had three first round knockouts in three regular season fights. Scheffel looks to pick up his first points of the season after suffering a second round knockout loss to Ante Delija.
A special feature in the lightweight divisional serve as the co-main event with Anthony Pettis taking on Stevie Ray. Pettis the former WEC & UFC champ won his first fight of the season submitting Myles Price, while Ray a UFC vet in his own right, lost a decision to Alex Martinez.
The main card will also see a battle between UFC vets as 2021 featherweight finalist Chris Wade faces Kyle Bochniak. Wade won a decision over two time champion Lance Palmer in his first fight of the seas while Bochniak lost a decision to Bubba Jenkins. Coming off a first round knock out of Jamelle James, Renan Ferreira will face Klidson Abreu who beat Adam Keresh by decision in his first fight of the season.
This week the 2022 PFl Playoff locations were announced. The quarterfinals will be on Friday August 5th from the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Seimfinals will take place on Saturday August 13th from Cardiff Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff Wales. The finales will be on Saturday August 10th from the Coppper Box Arena in London England.
