Steve Garcia Jr.’s next fight announced
The “Mean Machine” will be moving back to Featherweight for a fall return to the octagon.
The UFC event on October 29th will see Steve Garcia Jr. squaring off against Chase “The Dream” Hooper.
Garcia Jr. (12-4) is a Jacksonwink fighter looking to rebound from at setback at UFC 275. The Rio Rancho is always looking to end the fight as he’s done in ten of his twelve victories, including finishes in last four wins. The 30-year-old is known for his striking which has translated into some nasty ground and pound over the last couple of years.
Hopper (11-2-1) was one of the first fighters to earn a developmental contract on Dana White’s Contender Series back in 2018. The 22-year-old has a well versed submission game with wins by rear naked choke, triangle, and heel hook. As displayed in his last win over Felipe Corales, Hooper’s striking is becoming more effective with every fight.
