Prochazka-Teixeira 2 set for December
In June Jiri Prochazka dethrone Glover Teixeira of the UFC Light-Heavyweight title. In December the Czech fighter will have have to get past his Brazilian counter again before he can move on.
Its expected that the rematch will headline the event. That will only change if the rumored Stipe Miocic versus Jon Jones fight comes together. UFC 282 will be December 10th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Prochazka came to the UFC with a Rizin title on his resume. All three of his UFC wins have been finishes. In his first two trips into the octagon Jiri scored second round knockouts of Volkan Oezdemir & Dominick Reyes. It took a six-fight win streak for Teixeira earn a second UFC title shot after failing to beat Jon Jones. The Brazilian became champion submitting Jan Blachowicz by rear naked choke at UFC 267. The 42-year-old was less than thirty seconds away from retaining his title when Prochazka pulled off a miraculous comeback submission win four-months ago.
