Recap:
The blood began to flow early in the main event as Tony Soto would open multiple cuts on Tyler Goodjohn’s face with punches from inside the clinch. Soto would continue to have success in the second exploding in with bog one punch shots. By the third round the continual bodywork of GoodJohn paid dividends as Soto slowed. Goodjohn would fully find his stride in the fourth picking his shots and applying big pressure. The decisive fifth round would see both fighters bite down on there mouthpieces and wage war in the clinch with Soto earning the judges nod.
In the co-main Blake Lacaze would strike first knocking down Doug Coltrane with a left hook off the top of the head. But Coltrane’s response would echo thunderously as one overhand right was all he needed to flatten Lacaze.
The fast stance switching and explosive body attack entries from Keith Richardson quickly open up the head of Cody Jenkins. Seizing his opportunity Richardson would stick Jenkins with a straight left adding in two more right hooks before Jenkins sat down for the ten-count.
In the night most tactical battle Andy Nguyen stayed on her bike trying to get inside the several inch reach advantage of Sydney Smith to no success for much of the contest. Try as she would to maintain her unbeaten record but not even a 5th round knockdown for Nguyen could erase the lead Smith got out too early on thanks to her jab-cross combos.
Brandon Allen scored a one-punch knockout of Trevor Loken freezing up Loken with a ferocious left hook at the end of a three-peace combination. Brandon Bushaw against Rick Caruso ended in a no contest after Bushaw hit Caruso with a right hand to the back of the head while in the clinch. Dustin Pague picked up his second win in the squares circle putting down Wade Johnson three times, a left hook the final nail in the coffin.
Trukon Carson picked up his first BKFC win scoring a first round TKO of LJ Hermreck. The main card opener saw Cole Ferrell stop Cody Schieve in the second round after the two exchanged wild hooks in the clinch.
Jonathan Miller finished out the prelims by decimating the left eye of Dustin Long with a right hook for a second round TKO. Samuel Sample made a successful Bare Knuckle debut showcasing patient power punching. Sample knocked down Glendel Futrell in the first round with a straight left and had him stunned in the 2nd from an overhand right. The Futrell corner would call off the fight at the end of the third round with their fighter suffering a left shoulder injury. The card opener saw Jon Barnard stop Josh Marer at the end of the first round after a right uppercut scored a fourth knockdown.
