New Welterweight champion to be Crowned at BKFC 49

After BKFC 49, the Welterweight title will be around a new waste.

In the main event of BKFC 49 number one ranked Gorman Slaveski will battle number four ranked Linedsey in a welterweight title clash.

The complexion of the BKFC welterweight division has drastically changed as the two division king Luis Palamino is no longer the welterweight champion and is expected to be focusing on his next BKFC lightweight title defense.

The news was announced by BKFC president David Feldman during the BKFC 47 broadcast.

Slaveski came to Bare Knuckle after having ten boxing matches on his resume with a solid 8-2 record. The fighter nicknamed “Gogo” made a huge impression immediately scoring first round knockouts in his first two trips into the squared circle. Dallas Davison lasted into the second round while Evengy Kurdanov gave his a show till the final bell. Slaveski returned to his finishing ways at BKFC 35 stopping Yordenis Cedeno in the fourth round for a fifth win in just nine months with the promotion.

Lindsey came to Bare Knuckle after an MMA career that saw him fight for Bellator & the UFC.  Toeing the line four times Lindsey has scored all four of trhis wins in BKFC by knockout. It was that fourth win that put Lindsey on the map as he stopped bareknuckle superstar Conor Tierney by fourth round knockout.

In the co-main event, former champion and number one ranked Bantamweight Jarod Grant will square off against Daniel Alvarez who holds a win over flyway title challenger, JR Ridge.

BKFC 49 is August   25 at the Miami Dade Fair Grounds.
